Scott Brown was born in 1964 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and began playing guitar - taught by his father, Ross - at the age of four. After his family moved to Nanaimo BC, Scott soon found himself handling lead singer duties for a number of popular Vancouver Island bands.

Before joining Trooper, Scott played bass, sang and was a song writer for the Paul Laine Band. In addition to touring with Trooper, Scott performs in the acoustic duo "Manglewood" and is writing and preparing material for an upcoming album. He also works and teaches at Arbutus Music in his off time.

Scott is an avid golfer, snowboarder, and doting father to his daughter Cassidy. When he's not "rocking heavily" with his favorite band, Trooper, he lives
